When we make giving a priority, God’s grace overflows into our lives.
2 Corinthians 9:6–15
God has not intended for his benefits to stop with us. He hopes they trickle down to other people. This idea holds for our economics as well as other aspects of our lives. Our heavenly Father has plans for our finances, did you know that?
The Lord gives us money so that we can meet both our necessities and, frequently, our desires. However, He also wants us to use our finances to carry out His purposes. And sharing our riches with others is one of His objectives. He promises to supply whatever we require if we make it our intention to take part in His plans.
In today’s chapter, verse 8, He makes an extravagant promise that will surely come true: “And God can make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.” This uplifting verse serves as a helpful reminder that God will reward us for our generosity when we distribute our gifts to others. As stated differently, He will double the yield of our righteousness.
A benefit that is shared rather than hoarded is more abundantly felt. God is glorified when you use your skill to fulfill someone else’s needs and show others how His grace is at work in your life. Don’t allow His abundant gifts to stop with you. Give them away and experience the delight of an endless circle of good fortune.
