MEMORISE: “While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” – Hebrews 3:15 (KJV)
READ: Proverbs 15:10-12 (KJV)
10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.
11 Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?
12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.

Every action, or inaction, has consequences. This is why you should consider it a wonderful privilege to have individuals around you who can correct you when you do anything wrong, preventing you from suffering severe repercussions. Unfortunately, some people do not respond to corrections. The Bible refers to them as servants.
“A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.” Proverbs 29:19.
You can choose between being corrected verbally or through repercussions. If you are wise, you will opt to be chastised by words rather than face the repercussions of doing the incorrect thing. Those that are wise don’t wait for others to correct them. Instead, they regularly seek feedback from those around them to determine whether or not they are on the correct route. In Matthew 16:13, Jesus Christ asked His disciples, “Whom do men say that I am?” In other words, he was questioning, “What impression do people have of me based on my personality and words?”
Beloved, it is critical that you regularly allow people to tell you what they think of you, especially if you are a leader. You can make it anonymous so that people can provide honest feedback.
It is conceivable for someone to mature to the point where people begin to believe he or she is infallible, even when the individual is aware that he or she has made a mistake. It is critical to avoid this error and ensure that you have individuals around you who will always tell the truth. You should never outgrow corrections.
Even when people criticize you with malicious purpose, you can ignore their motives and listen to see if there is truly something you need to rectify or improve on.
You will avoid a lot of problems in life if you are the type of person that listens to criticism. If someone corrects you once or twice and notices that you are furious, they will leave you alone. This will be dangerous because they will allow you to tumble into a ditch despite knowing you are heading there.
Even God will leave you alone after correcting you on something for a period and you refuse to listen (Romans 1:28). In Jesus’ name, I pray that God would not allow you to kill yourself.

Open Heaven 17 January 2025 HYMN 30 – When We Walk With The Lord
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]
3 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]
