Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the lead pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, has announced a new initiative to provide a financial safety net for unemployed church workers.
Launched on January 5, 2026, the three-month support program aims to help individuals navigate current economic hardships. Key details of the relief package include:
Monthly Stipend: Eligible workers will receive ₦50,000 ($34) per month.
Objective: The funds are intended to help beneficiaries stabilize, cover basic needs, and manage tough financial periods.
Mission: Pastor Idowu emphasized that a primary role of the church is to “be there for one another” during times of crisis.
This move has been widely praised as a practical demonstration of faith and communal support during a challenging economic climate.
