Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, the founder and president of The Mount Zion Faith Ministries, recently shared a message on Facebook about the dangers of pride.
He said that pride is a destructive force that can lead to ruin. He quoted Proverbs 16:18, which says, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Bamiloye explained that pride is the belief that we are better than others. It is the opposite of humility. When we are prideful, we think we don’t need anyone else and that we can do everything on our own.
This kind of thinking can lead to isolation, arrogance, and eventually, destruction. Prideful people often make bad decisions and do things that hurt themselves and others.
Bamiloye urged people to humble themselves and to remember that we are all equal in God’s eyes. He said that when we are humble, we are more likely to be compassionate and loving towards others.
He also said that when we are humble, we are more likely to rely on God and to ask for His help. This is the only way to avoid the destructive path of pride.
Bamiloye’s message is a timely reminder of the dangers of pride. In a world where we are constantly bombarded with messages of self-promotion and self-importance, it is easy to fall into the trap of pride. However, if we want to live a happy and fulfilling life, we must learn to humble ourselves and to rely on God.
