Tonto Dikeh Foundation Boosts Digital Literacy with Laptop Donation to Schools

The Tonto Dikeh Foundation has launched a significant educational intervention aimed at bridging the digital divide in Nigerian schools. Through its “My Evangelism Outreach” initiative, the foundation has committed to donating 30 laptops to three different schools to enhance students’ technological proficiency. The first phase of this project was completed with the delivery of 10 laptops to Junior Secondary School (JSS) Durumi II, marking a major milestone in the foundation’s mission to integrate digital literacy into the classroom.

This donation follows a recent visit to the school where the foundation’s founder, Tonto Dikeh, pledged to support the education of a student who had lost his mother. During that visit, the foundation also provided a ₦1,000,000 business grant to the boy’s father to ensure family stability. The subsequent laptop delivery serves as a broader investment in the entire student body, providing them with the necessary tools to conduct research, develop critical tech skills, and compete in a globalized environment.

The initiative highlights a growing shift toward practical empowerment within the foundation’s activities. By equipping these institutions with modern hardware, the foundation aims to move beyond traditional classroom learning and foster an environment of innovation and confidence. This latest effort is part of a series of educational supports from the organization, which earlier this year provided free JAMB registration for 1,000 students across Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt.

The Tonto Dikeh Foundation remains dedicated to its goal of supporting 5,000 Nigerian students annually. By focusing on digital tools, the organization is preparing young minds for the demands of the modern workforce and ensuring that students in underserved communities are not left behind in an increasingly digital world.
