Bishop David Oyedepo, General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, speaks on “Understanding The Wonders Of Divine Direction 1” at the Covenant Day of Open Doors Service at Faith Tabernacle in Canaanland.
During his sermon, he used Isaiah 55:8-9, which states, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.”
He then said, “God’s ways are the highways of life. Stop appraising His leadings with your intellect. It never flies. There is no way intellectual appraisal will get us down to Canaanland. Never! It is contrary to human reasoning. You can’t build a church in the forest for people in town. No! It is against all church growth principles I knew. He said that is the way to go. Is it proven or not? We got into this forest before our global impact began to have expression.”
Further he said, “Allow God to lead you, He doesn’t lead backwards. He leads forward all the time. Don’t just carry money and invest somewhere. Find out first “Jesus what are you saying?”. So you don’t just wreck all your labour of many years. You never miss the road with God leading you, allow Him to lead you.”
He finally said, “Ever refreshing, ever empowering, goodness and mercy following you every day. Your days of struggling are finally over. The days of regret in your life are finally over.”
