Nollywood actor-turned-preacher Woli Arole has issued a strong caution to Christians, expressing his worry about the increasing emphasis on money and materialism within the church.
In an Instagram post, Arole stated his deep concern that contemporary churches are prioritizing wealth over spiritual goals. Drawing on his background in comedic and spiritual content creation before becoming a preacher, he stressed that the core message of the gospel is being eclipsed by the pursuit of riches.
He urged believers to recognize this trend, proclaiming as a “prophet of God” that “Mammon is already creaking into the church,” and reminded them that Christ’s sacrifice was for eternal life, not material wealth, calling for a spiritual awakening and the sharing of his message.
