A member of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC) choir has revealed a personal tragedy following the recent bandit attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun, in Eruku, Kwara State.
The choir member disclosed that her elder sister and nephew were among the worshippers abducted during the violent raid on the church.
The revelation underscores the far-reaching impact of the attack, which occurred during an evening service and reportedly resulted in the shooting of the church pastor and the abduction of several congregants.
The news was shared online via the platform @gist\_with\_gmftv, connecting the violence in Kwara to the wider Christian community. The post included an image of the Dunamis choir (where the victimβs family member serves) and an image of armed bandits.
The incident highlights the growing insecurity and the direct threats faced by worshippers in parts of Northern Nigeria.
