TOPIC: Accessing Answers to Prayers (Seeds Of Destiny 20 January 2025)

SCRIPTURE: Be not ye, therefore, like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. – Matthew 6:8.

THOUGHT: In God, answers exist before questions, and responses exist before requests.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2024 MESSAGE:

It has been established that confidence in prayer is essential for competence, courage, and conquest in prayer. According to 1 John 5:14, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us.” When you lack confidence in prayer, you will not receive answers to your prayers. In our study today, I’ll give you two reasons for our faith in prayer:

God is not oblivious of our needs.
Matthew 6:8 states,

Be not like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. This suggests that the Father is not unaware of His children’s needs. This is one of the reasons we are confident in prayer. When we pray, we do not seek to persuade God of our needs. Before we ask, the Father knows exactly what we need.

This means that God wants us to ask Him first, before making our petitions. Whatever we intend to ask Him in prayer, He expects it. This is exciting!

In God, answers exist before questions, and responses exist before requests.
Isaiah 65:24 states,

And it will come to be that I will respond before they call, and I will listen while they are still speaking.

This suggests that with God, answers exist before questions and requests. God promises to respond before we ask. Thus, answers exist before inquiries, and responses exist before requests. So, prayer is not an attempt to persuade God of our wants; rather, it is a way to connect with God’s response to our needs.

Beloved, when you are equipped with these realities, you will be able to pray more effectively.

Remember that in God, answers exist before inquiries, and responses exist before requests.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Always convince yourself that in God, answers exist before questions, and responses exist before requests.
2. Approach God with the confidence that He is not ignorant of your needs.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for Your full awareness of my needs before I ask. I draw answers from You to every question of my life as I pray, O LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
