Getting God’s power instead of your power

In Isaiah 40:29-31 the Almighty God whom we worship and serve gives us new strength when we are weak. He gives us health, strength and power to serve Him.

Young people may falter in serving the Lord, but those who seek God, regardless of age, will find new strength. What a wonderful promise this is. Young people may falter just like old people, but “Those who wait upon God will get renewed strength, they will run without getting tired and walk without fainting.” I encourage you to find and pray to the Lord with simple faith for all your needs.

Get new strength as this verse says. Another translation says “Those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength instead of their own strength”. Meaning if we give our strength to the Lord He will give us His strength Hallelujah! We can give all that we have to the Lord and receive what is from the Lord. The Lord Jesus said to the Father “Father, all I am is yours and you are mine” John 17: 10-11.

You will see that you need the power of the Lord in his ministry. All who serve the Lord must believe in the Lord that they will receive His wonderful power and resurrection power not only in their souls but also in their bodies. Then we will be fruitful for the Lord even when we are old Psalm 92:15.

ValuingtheHoly Spirit Anointing

Ezekiel 3:23,24. “I got up and saw the influence of the Lord as I had seen at first. I fell on my face”.* Here is another important principle of ministry. Always keep your face in the dirt. Sometimes it’s better to do it physically. Prostrate yourself on the floor of your room and say, “Lord, I deserve to be like this. I am worthless in your eyes.” We are in great danger when we stand up and teach others.

Because many will praise and honor us. Most of all we must go to the Lord and prostrate ourselves before Him alone and know what we are not in His sight. God can take our breath away in an instant. He can remove our anointing in a moment. I fear losing my anointing more than anything else in my life.

I would rather lose all my money and all my health than lose God’s anointing upon my life. We can lose the anointing by being a little reckless with our tongues or with money. When Ezekiel’s face was in the dust, the Spirit came and set him on his feet. The Spirit comes upon us while we are in the dust before God. Never glorify yourself. We allow Him to lift us up and glorify us.

Your past life in spite of whatever defeats, the Lord will encourage you**

Isaiah 42:2 “He shall not cry nor shout nor let his voice be heard in the streets”. This saying is attributed to Jesus in Matthew 12:19, 20. His voice cannot be heard in the streets. It is also said that he does not break a broken reed. It means that the Lord will not discourage a person who has ruined his life.

Instead, he encourages and heals him. The Lord will not extinguish the flickering candle. But blow on it so that it burns. He is interested in helping weak believers who are lost. He is interested in helping the downtrodden to lift themselves up. A true servant of God has such encouraging ministry.

Through his ministry, he uplifts the downtrodden, the hopeless, the cynical about life. People everywhere need such a ministry and we should all desire it.
