Panam Percy Paul Reveals Why He Turned Down £24m Deal in 1995

Renowned gospel singer Panam Percy Paul has disclosed that he rejected a monumental £24 million record deal in 1995 due to a condition that compromised his Christian faith.

In a recent interview with Pastor Emmanuel Iren, the iconic artist recounted being offered the lucrative three-year contract, but revealed that the record label demanded he significantly reduce the mentions of “Jesus” in his music, suggesting alternatives like “Righteous One” or “Greatest Lover.”

Paul stated he refused the offer, prioritizing his faith over financial gain, famously saying, “you can keep the money, while I keep the name.” He further reflected on the current state of gospel music, lamenting the industry’s growing influence over ministers.
