Pastor Hon. Pwavi Ijeoma Jacob, a prominent religious figure in Northern Nigeria, has reportedly died in a tragic road accident while traveling back to Abuja.
The news was officially confirmed by Adamu Atiku, the Commissioner for Works and Energy Development in Adamawa State, who shared his grief in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on November 22. Atiku confirmed that the Pastor passed away earlier that day following a motor accident, describing the incident as heartbreaking.
The Commissioner revealed that Pastor Hon. Pwavi had visited him just two days before her death at his Yola residence.
“Hon. Pwavi was more than a committed public servant; she was a sister, a confidant and a loyal associate whose sincerity and dedication left lasting impressions on everyone who knew her,” Atiku wrote in his tribute. He recalled sharing lunch and meaningful conversations, noting that she was “full of life, warmth and hope for the future.””Her passing is a personal loss to me and to many who cherished her friendship and admired her character,” he concluded.
