Terry G Blasts Governor Alia Over Genocide Denial in Benue

Nigerian music star Terry G has strongly criticized Benue State Governor Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia for publicly denying claims of religious genocide in the state.

The singer, whose real name is Gabriel Oche Amanyi and is a native of Benue, posted a sharp video response directly addressing Governor Alia’s dismissal of the violence.

In his video, a visibly agitated Terry G questioned the Governor’s statement, particularly given his status as an ordained priest:”Reverend, for that matter, why una too dey lie? Why can’t you guys admit, for once, and apply correction? There is nothing like Christian genocide in Benue, so that means you are not hearing all the news that is going on. What kind of governor is that one now? Una go just dey cap rubbish.”

In an accompanying caption, Terry G doubled down on his stance, stating that the reality of the crisis cannot be hidden by official denial:

“We refuse to be quieted. The Christian community in Benue is under attack β€” no amount of denial can hide that reality.”
