U.S. to Collaborate with Tinubu Government on ‘Christian Genocide’ Accountability

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA – The United States has vowed to work in tandem with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to take decisive action against individuals implicated in alleged Christian genocide and religious violence.

A statement was released on Monday, November 3, 2025, by the Chair of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), Vicky Hartzler, outlining a tough plan for U.S.-Nigeria cooperation. This plan aims to arrest perpetrators of religious violence, protect vulnerable Christians, and rescue those held hostage.

The announcement comes as USCIRF continues to push for accountability concerning the religious freedom crisis in Nigeria, which was previously designated a ‘Country of Particular Concern’ and re-designated (removed in 2021, restored Oct 31, 2025) by the U.S. Government.
