Former City of David Parish pastor under the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Idowu Iluyomade, has launched a new church in Lagos, Nigeria. According to a post on the Instablog9ja page, the new ministry, named Family Fellowship, is located in Victoria Island.
Iluyomade’s resignation from the RCCG followed his suspension by the church board last year. The suspension came after widespread criticism of his extravagant celebration of his wife’s 60th birthday, which occurred shortly after the tragic death of a prominent figure in a helicopter crash in the United States.
The inaugural service for Family Fellowship took place on Sunday, January 19, marking the beginning of Iluyomade’s new chapter in ministry.
