Stanley Alieke, Speed Darlington’s former lawyer, has argued against the death sentence handed down to the late gospel singer Osinachi’s husband, advocating for life imprisonment instead.
Alieke, referencing the three-year anniversary of Osinachi’s death from domestic violence injuries, stated his belief that the death penalty should be abolished.
He further reasoned that the couple’s children have already suffered the loss of their mother and shouldn’t also lose their father, emphasizing his continued paternal role despite his actions.
