Nollywood star Ini Edo broke down during an emotional live session this Sunday, pleading for mercy after the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) called for her new film, A Very Dirty Christmas, to be pulled down.

Wiping away tears, the filmmaker explained that the title was never intended to be a slight against her faith. “I am a Christian too,” she sobbed, revealing she would have changed the name months ago if she had known it would cause such an uproar. With the project’s future hanging in the balance, Edo is asking for more time to rename the film rather than seeing her hard work deleted entirely.
