Dante Bowe Criticized For Using Girls Twerking in New Gospel Video

Grammy-awarded Gospel artist Dante Bowe is under fire for his recent music video which showcases women dancing provocatively in swimsuits.

The song, titled “Wind Me Up,” taken from his latest self-titled album, also features the talents of Jamaican DJ and Reggae artist, Anthony B. Since its release, there has been rising concern among fans who believe the music video’s content is unsuitable.

Following his departure from Maverick City, the Christian artist has re-emerged on the music scene. However, his latest video has reignited controversy amongst his followers.

In the initial scenes of the “Wind Me Up” video, Bowe is depicted enjoying drinks and dancing alongside women dressed in revealing outfits aboard a yacht. The video transitions to an evening beach party where attendees are seen drinking and dancing, with some women engaging in twerking. Although the majority of the dance sequences appear innocent, Bowe’s consistent gesture of holding the front of his pants has raised eyebrows.

Bowe took to Instagram to share the video, captioning it, “Shout out to all inspiring the world with your passion and art. Which track from my album should get a music video next? What song is your favorite?”

While some fans expressed support and offered prayers for the artist, a significant number voiced stern warnings and disapproval.

One user questioned, “How can you experience God’s grace and then revert to worldly ways?”

Another pointed out, “You sang about waiting for the Lord’s guidance. Why aren’t you heeding your own advice?”
