Fr. Oluoma Chinenye John serves as a priest within the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja in Nigeria. His roles encompass those of a blessed Preacher, Educator, Counselor, and Musician.
During a recent discourse, the clergyman posed a hypothetical question: “If a divine choice were presented to you between obtaining wealth and gaining wisdom, which alternative would you select?” To illustrate, he offered a scenario where God presented two options—a chalice brimming with mystical water promising wisdom upon consumption, and a monetary check worth one trillion Naira. He revealed his own preference, expressing a desire to opt for the substantial monetary check, underlining his conviction that God has already bestowed wisdom upon him.
He emphasized that individual choices would invariably reflect the orientation of one’s innermost desires. Drawing from Matthew 6:21, he highlighted the verse’s message that the alignment of one’s heart corresponds to the whereabouts of their cherished treasures.
