During a recent evangelism outreach in Osun State, a team encountered a man living on the streets, described as being “bound by madness” and seemingly abandoned by many.
According to a social media post by _ayomideadetoro, a member of the outreach, as they spoke to the man about Jesus, they felt divinely led to him.
On the street itself, the team prayed for the man, and they witnessed what they believe to be a miraculous healing. The post states that “the power of God touched him. He was healed. He was saved. A soul that once seemed so far gone was brought back to life by the love of Jesus.”
However, the impact of their prayers went even further than they initially realized. Bystanders informed the evangelism team that the man had been unable to walk for a significant period after being struck by a car, forcing him to drag himself along the streets.
To the astonishment of the outreach team and onlookers, after their prayers, the man reportedly stood up and walked. The post described this moment as leaving them “speechless,” emphasizing the profound nature of the apparent healing.
Following these events, the evangelism team provided the man with a fresh set of clothes, cleaned him up, and gave him a haircut, demonstrating their care and compassion. Their efforts didn’t stop there. Recognizing the importance of community and belonging, the team dedicated themselves to finding the man’s way back home.
Through persistent searching and inquiries, they were reportedly able to locate his family, ensuring he had a place to return to.
