Lagos, Nigeria — Social media users have been moved by a heartfelt tribute shared by user @iamthatpj, who marked the 20th anniversary of his mother’s passing with an emotional message reflecting on grief, legacy, and fulfilled prophecy.
In the post, he expressed disbelief at how quickly two decades have passed since losing his mother, whom he credits with shaping his life’s journey. He noted that he has carried her memory with him daily, symbolized by the rings he still keeps close to his heart.
“I have carried you every day with me since God took you home… Your rings stay close to my heart and I remember with every beat that I miss you,” he wrote.
One of the most touching revelations came when he shared that he did, in fact, become a pastor—something his mother had predicted long before her death. “Guess what?! You sure were right! I did end up becoming a Pastor… The whole time I thought you were crazy but I guess the joke is on me!” he added.
He also noted that his children know all about the grandmother they never met, fondly referred to as “HeavenGrandma.” He assured his late mother that he is committed to carrying on her legacy and hopes he continues to make her proud.The tribute ended with a tender postscript: “P.S. Say hi to Dad for me.”
