Pastor Andy Osakwe has issued a firm caution to disc jockeys (DJs) who perform at Christian gatherings, urging them to refrain from blending secular songs with gospel music.
Speaking to youth leaders recently, Pastor Osakwe stressed that Christian programs are sacred spaces dedicated to worship, edification, and spiritual alignment—not merely entertainment that carries conflicting messages.
He argued that the introduction of secular tracks can dilute the spiritual tone and shift the focus away from God, especially since many attendees seek an atmosphere that strengthens their faith. He further noted that the inclusion of some gospel songs by a DJ does not guarantee they understand the spiritual atmosphere required in a Christian setting.
