By framing natural hair as a “divine masterpiece” and an extension of creativity, the story seeks to instill confidence and self-love in children from a young age.
According to the author, the concept for the book began as an idea years ago. She credited her husband, Moses Bliss, for his unwavering support in helping her bring the manuscript to completion. The release marks a significant personal milestone for Bliss, who has often spoken about her passion for inspiring the next generation through storytelling and affirmation.
Officially set for release on February 9, 2026, the 36-page picture book is already gaining traction through pre-orders on major platforms like Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Designed for readers aged 6 to 8, the work arrives at a time when conversations around representation and identity in children’s books are more prominent than ever.
