Bishop David Oyedepo Declares “Days of Judgment” Over Nigeria

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, held a special service at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.

The service, themed the “Covenant Day of Vengeance,” focused on the rising insecurity in Nigeria, specifically addressing the persistent issues of banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism. During his sermon, Oyedepo issued a spiritual decree against those responsible for these crimes and their financial backers. He characterized the move as a divine mandate to confront the “evil sweeping across the country,” emphasizing that the “God of vengeance” would intervene to protect the nation.

In addition to the verbal declaration, the cleric called for a week of intensified spiritual activity. This includes a seven-day midnight prayer program to be observed simultaneously across all Living Faith branches globally. Oyedepo also instructed congregants to anoint their homes throughout the week, describing the period as a direct offensive intended to bring about a “massive turnaround” for the peace and stability of Nigeria.
