Gospel singer Buchi Atuonwu, widely known as Buchi, recently revealed his past involvement in cultism before his conversion to Christianity. In an interview on Gaise Baba’s ‘Black Flame,’ Buchi explained that his understanding of cultism shifted when Jesus showed him it was not merely a physical organization but a spiritual force.
Responding to the host’s inquiry about his departure, Buchi recounted how he realized the limitations of physical means against spiritual battles, leading him to embrace Jesus Christ and a career in gospel music. He shared an experience during a late-night procession where a voice told him he didn’t belong, highlighting his growing unease with his involvement.
Buchi emphasized that the cult he was part of transcended tribal lines, uniting members through a shared purpose.
